Edgar Merkelbach (34 years old), Castricum
Edgar, living near the coast of the Netherlands, earns his money working in beach pavilions, just like his cousin Alvaro used to do in his earlier years. Although, not in the kitchens like Alvaro, but in music. During summer he is operating the turntables at a few clubs on the Dutch coast. And sometimes in winter, he does the same job in the touristic ski areas in Austria.
When the opportunity is there Edgar is always willing to play his guitar in public. His singing voice is almost frightening similar as Leonard Cohen.
Although he and his mum both live in one half of the same house, they seldom see each other.
In the not-maintained part of the garden, under a ramshackle shelter (once meant to keep the firewood) Edgar stores his deeply beloved classic American car.
The RELATIONS to the other voices
Much to their pleasure, every six months his cousin Alvaro is staying over for a couple of weeks.
One evening in early September he met the older and apparently non-conformist Errol. They got drunk and kept in touch.
