Salix Liquida

Salix liquida is a Willow species that is mainly found in the Northern parts of the Korean peninsula.
Their common name is "Tear tree" because it's powerful sap stream causes the tree to "cry" in early spring. The sap has a sweet and spicy flavor and is locally used as a seasoning in Kimchi.
