Agaricia Bullio, bubbles blown by a trunk at the shore sea strand by patricia van lubeck

oil on canvas, 120 x 80 cm.

Agaricia Bullio

The latin names of my plantscapes are all derived from the species living there. The green and yellow texture surfaces on this painting are inspired by a Lettuce Coral, Agaricia which is commonly found in the Caribbean. The bullio in the title is latin for 'bubbling'.

I've also made a bronze & glass sculpture based on this painting.
